New Major Sustainable Building Project Set to Rise in Vision Park

Nyt, stort, bæredygtigt byggeri på vej i Vision Park

Groundbreaking has commenced on yet another sustainable commercial building in Vision Park, south of Kolding. This time, Vision Properties—owned by Lars Larsen Group and Schou Family Invest—is constructing an administration building and showroom for Schou Company. This will allow the largest non-food wholesale company in the Nordics to consolidate all its Danish operations within Vision Park.

The purchase of the 43.5 hectares of land south of Kolding by Vision Properties, over two years ago, marked the largest commercial transaction in Kolding Municipality's history. The site, now known as Vision Park, has already seen the construction of a 100,000 square meters logistics center for Schou Company.

Excited Mayor

The upcoming 15,000 square meters administration and showroom development is warmly welcomed by Mayor Knud Erik Langhoff, who participated in the groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday.

"It is wonderful to see a large and well-established company like Schou Company bringing together all its Danish activities and employees in Vision Park, thereby reinforcing its commitment to Kolding. Additionally, it is encouraging that the construction adheres to very high sustainability standards," said the Mayor.

A Unified Company

Jørgen Schou, co-owner of Vision Properties and owner of Schou Company, is equally enthusiastic about the commencement of the next major building project in Vision Park.

"It has always been our dream to gather all Schou Company’s activities and employees in Vision Park. Our employees will enjoy more space, significantly better working conditions, and numerous opportunities for sports and nature experiences," he commented after the groundbreaking. The event was also attended by Jakob Ville, Chairman of the Planning and Technical Committee, and Jan Riis Nielsen, Director of the main contractor, Daugaard Pedersen.

Schou Company’s new administration building is scheduled for completion in May 2026. It will accommodate around 400 administrative staff and feature a vast showroom displaying hardware, garden furniture, and DIY products for home and garden, which Schou Company purchases, sells, and distributes to the value of billions of kroner annually.
