Halit celebrates 25-year anniversary đ
At Schou, weâre proud to have quite a few long-time employees whoâve been part of the company for many, MANY years. This time, weâre celebrating Halit Jaha, who can now mark an incredible 25 years with us!
Halit came to Denmark due to the war in Kosovo and was accommodated at the Brejning refugee center. He began an activation program at HP VĂŚrktøj (now Schou) alongside other refugees and was later offered a permanent position. Today â 25 years later â youâll still find him smiling brightly in our warehouse.
Halit is known for his consistently good mood and a smile almost as wide as he is tall. Warehouse Manager Michael Larsen describes Halit as highly dutiful and hardworking â a thoughtful and cheerful man, well-liked by everyone and a truly great colleague. Weâre very happy to have him on the team.
And something Halit himself is particularly proud of (and we totally get why): over the course of 25 years, he has had less than two weeks of sick leave â something he never forgets to mention with a twinkle in his eye đ
Halit lives in Børkop with his wife and their three children. When the warehouse was located in Børkop, he enjoyed the short commute â just a couple of kilometers. Even though the trip has become longer after the move to Vision Park, the new and modern facilities make it all worthwhile.
The anniversary was marked with breakfast and traditional Danish layer cake (âkagemandâ) for the entire warehouse team, and on May 2nd, we officially celebrated the occasion with a reception where family, current, and former colleagues were invited.
