The Schou Family Reacquires Schou Company from Lars Larsen Group After a Successful Growth Journey
After nearly a decade of joint ownership and successful growth, the two family-owned groups have agreed that Jørgen Schou Holding will acquire Lars Larsen Group’s share of Schou Company.
Since 2017, Lars Larsen Group has owned 49 percent of Schou Company, the Nordic region’s largest non-food wholesale company. Sound business acumen has been the cornerstone for both groups, and the partnership has contributed to more than 100 percent growth at Schou Company.
Based on the successful collaboration and a strengthened market position, the two parties have agreed that Jørgen Schou Holding will purchase Lars Larsen Group’s share of Schou Company, making the company fully owned by the Schou family moving forward.
A Clear Win-Win Deal

Now, we are in agreement that Jørgen Schou Holding will take full ownership of Schou Company, and we believe this is the right decision for the company’s continued development,” says Jesper Lund, President & CEO of Lars Larsen Group.

Ongoing Collaboration
In 2014, Lars Larsen Group and Schou Family Invest also co-founded Vision Properties, which, among other projects, has developed one of Northern Europe’s largest logistics centres, Vision Park near Kolding. Lars Larsen Group and Schou Family Invest each own 50 percent of Vision Properties, and this collaboration will continue unchanged.

Additionally, Lars Larsen Group’s largest subsidiary, JYSK, will continue its extensive cooperation with Schou Company.
