Svein E. Lunde – 30 years with Schou at heart

It’s not every day you get to celebrate a colleague who’s been with the company for a full three decades—but this spring we got to do just that. Svein E. Lunde marked his 30th anniversary at Schou, and it was—quite fittingly—celebrated with his colleagues in Norway, where he’s been based all these years. But his influence doesn’t stop at national borders. Svein has also left his mark on Nordager and been a valued driving force across the entire group.
He is, rightfully, part of Schou’s very foundation. Over the years, Svein has held central roles—first as IT Manager, then as Head of Schou Norway, and now as Process & Shared Service Manager for Project, IT & Sustainability. Titles say a lot, but Svein is more than what you can fit on a business card. He’s the kind of person who makes things happen—and brings everyone along with him as he does.
“He knows everything—from products and customers to warehousing, finance, leadership, and, not least, IT. He’s always in a great mood, always helpful, and he never says no. He’s the man of the company,” says his longtime colleague Jon Handeland, who continues:
“And when the party starts, he’s the last to go to bed and the first to rise. A true stayer—both in work hours and in social settings.”
Words like hardworking, well-liked, and adaptable come up time and again from everyone who’s worked with him. But perhaps he’s best described as a colleague who’s never lost his curiosity, his commitment—or his infectious good humor.
We send Svein a huge congratulations and our heartfelt thanks for his indispensable efforts, loyalty, and warmth over the years. You’re one of the people who makes Schou more than just a workplace—you make it a community.
