Bjørn's 30th Anniversary

Bjørn began at Schou (back when it was HP Tools) around the age of confirmation. His brother's friend had asked if he wanted to earn some money, and he was only supposed to be there for a week to help label some campaign items. Bjørn is both efficient and quick to learn, so he quickly became involved in many other tasks at Schou – and that's how months and years passed by. Bjørn quickly became responsible for sweeping, gathering goods for photo proofs, and similar tasks. He got his own key so he could lock the warehouse after hours – a key he only returned in the summer of 2023 when the warehouse in Børkop was moved to the new warehouse in Vision Park.

Bjørn served his military service in the navy but still worked on weekends, as a military salary was not particularly high. There's probably no position at Schou that Bjørn hasn't held over the years. After warehouse work, he moved into the office and worked on tasks in marketing, procurement, and sales - he even took a graphic design course and set up an internal marketing department so we could produce product leaflets, offers, and small newspapers with pictures and text ourselves. Finally, he found his niche with IT tasks and operations, after it was discovered that he could do more than just turn a PC on and off. Bjørn took some server and network technical courses and was responsible for moving the company from analog to digital. He implemented the company's first email system and developed the first website and webshop, where customers could enter their own orders to be loaded directly into the then ERP system to optimize order processing time. He was also responsible for developing and implementing a digital telephone system, which improved and optimized telephone customer/order processing in the company. Over the years, Bjørn has been involved in building the IT operations for both HP Tools and later for Schou, where he is now the IT Manager; he is also very involved in the new building plans in Vision Park.

Bjørn is a well-liked colleague throughout Schou and is always up for a bit of fun, so you have to be quick on the trigger if you want to match his witty and quirky comments both in everyday life and at parties.
