We are growing. Fast.

Nearly a quarter of a billion Danish kroner is on the bottom line in the new financial statement for the wholesale giant, which has once again generated revenue of around three billion kroner. An expectation of further growth is set to trigger a wave of job postings.
KOLDING – Schou Company A/S, the supplier giant headquartered in Kolding, has never made more money. With revenue of DKK 2.9 billion, the company posted a pre-tax profit of DKK 244.9 million.
These figures are from the newly released 2024 financial statement.
The result is over DKK 47 million better than the previous year – a development that, unsurprisingly, pleases the CEO.
“We’re very pleased, especially in a year that has presented challenges in many areas. There’s no doubt about that,” says CEO Gotfred Christiansen.
As a supplier, Schou Company depends on the success of its customers, and on that front, the company has felt a positive spillover effect – even though some Scandinavian customers have seen slight stagnation.
“We’re in a good position with a few large customers in the broader European market who are experiencing solid growth,” Gotfred Christiansen explains.
It's clear that Schou Company is in a growth phase: a new 7,500 m² headquarters and a 6,500 m² showroom are currently being built in Vision Park, right next to the company’s massive 100,000 m² warehouse. But it’s not just physical infrastructure that the company is investing in.
New Hires on the Way
“We’re expecting reasonable revenue growth this year, but we’re more cautious about our expectations for the bottom line, where we foresee a flat development. That’s because, once again this year, we’ll be investing heavily in new colleagues – we plan to hire 45 new team members – and we’ll also continue to invest in IT and automation,” explains Gotfred Christiansen.
“It’s an investment in the future, because we believe we can keep growing the business by further sharpening our focus,” he adds.
While global economic instability, emerging trade wars, and talk of tariffs dominate headlines, Schou Company’s operations remain largely unaffected.
“We’re positioned in the value-for-money segment, so we may be a bit more resilient to shifts in the economy compared to if we were in the premium segment,” says Gotfred Christiansen.
“For us, the dynamics in the Far East and our supplier relations are more important,” he adds.
